Today I’m going to share with you about the five important things I wish I knew before starting my weight loss journey.

  1. BMR – what is BMR? This is your basal metabolic rate. Did you know that you burn calories as you move through the day?Yes, we all burn calories so the whole goal the premise behind this is eat less than you’re burning that’s your BMR, simple right?
  2. What are Macros? Macros are very simple, they’re proteins, carbs and fats. They’re what make up your calories throughout the day, but depending on your lifestyle, your level of activity, your goal weight loss, muscle building, we need different amounts of calories or macros to meet that goal.
  3. Did you know that you do not have to work out every day to lose weight? No, absolutely not! Weight loss comes down to what you’re eating, what’s in the kitchen. At the end of the day we want to work on the nutrition and the food that we’re eating to fuel our body to help with weight loss.
  4. Supplements. Not all supplements are bad, sometimes within our nutrition plan we’re lacking certain nutrients or when we’re trying to lose weight, we’re needing the motivation, the energy, to get us through the workout, to get us through the day.
