Turkey Burger

½ lb lean ground turkey

3 Tbsp finely chopped red onion

¼ tsp garlic salt

¼ tsp pepper

¼ cup shredded 2% reduced-fat Cheddar cheese (1 oz)

1 leaf romaine lettuce, torn in half

2 multigrain light English muffins, split and

toasted

1 plum tomato, sliced

2 tsp Dijon mustard

 

    Preheat a grill pan coated with cooking spray

to medium-high heat. Mix together turkey,

onion, garlic salt and pepper with your hands;

shape into 2 patties. Grill patties, covered with

grill lid, 5 minutes per side or until done, topping

patties evenly with cheese during last 2 minutes

of grilling. Place 1 patty and 1 piece of lettuce

on bottom of each muffin; top with tomato

slices. Spread 1 tsp mustard on cut sides of

each muffin top; place on top of burgers.

 

 

350 calories per burger.
